God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change. The courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. Congregation of the Streets is just what it says. Street Preacher Benji, a devout patriot, is the minister of guided worship and music meditation. The congregations sermons teach love of god and fellow man, as well as forgiveness. Street preacher Benji is a comic on the side, so his music and sermons, worship meditation, have a comic edge which gives praise to the Lord. “We’re going to praise the Lord today,” and “It’s time for Meditation” are the catch phrases he uses when starting a prayer sermon turned to song accompanied by violin or guitar. Et’s Meditation time is a guided musical worship trance meditation which uses the prayers, psalms, and stories of the Holy Bible as the lyrics of the Sermon. St. John Coltrane often is referenced, as well as music in the style of Jimi Hendrix.

S.A.D.I.S.T. is a reality show. The acronym stands for Strategies: Against Disorders, Injuries, & Struggles, Therapy. These are my real time chronicles, diaries of difficulties I face every day. Mood, learning, and personality disorders, Traumatic Brain Injury, and Poverty, The videos show how I’m learning to cope with personal issues. I cope with positive strategies despite a sadistic self image. The stories show how creating art and music blends performance with practice. Creativity, as I have learned is founded on necessary dreams. Necessity inspires goals. Achieving ambitious goals require ingenuity. Ingenuity requires imagination, and my very active imagination, I hope, will prevent me from becoming a bitter old man who spends his last days alone in a residential hotel in San Francisco’s Tenderloin or a tent in Golden Gate Park. Kind of Bleu

Kind of Bleu is an instrumental tribute to the pioneers of Jazz, expressed uniquely by Ben’s electric violin playing. He plays his Zeta like a horn to music inspired by the greats — Charlie Parker, Thelonius Monk, John Coltrane, Miles Davis and others. Kind of Bleu also plays arrangements of classical music that Barnes has arranged with jazz song structures for improvisation.

Hard Rock Bach

Hard Rock Bach was given its name by a sarcastic colleague who very much disapproved of Barnes’ interpretation of the 6 Sonatas and Partitas and 6 Suites for solo violin and cello. This “interpretation” includes the use of three amplifiers, effects pedals, which includes a generous share of wah pedal as Hendrix would have colored the music of J.S. Bach. In addition to music of the Johann, Ben pens arrangements for solo violin of classic rock songs written by The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, David Bowie and others. Paganini’s Caprices are payed on the zeta electric violins.
