Current Music and Projects
While meandering amongst them, The Strolling Violinist serenades his audience with the songs and melodies of their pleasure. Be it classical, jazz, rock, country or contemporary music — there is no limit to his vast library of material in every musical genre!
Year of the Dog writes and produces music for videos, used as beats for hip hop recording artists and singers, podcasts, video games, soundtracks, and dance venues etc.
Crooner at Large project features vocals in the styles of Frank Sinatra and Chet Baker, as well as violin solos heavily influenced by Baker’s inspiring and romantic trumpet playing.
Swindlefish, Deadweight and The Rilke String Quartet
Swindlefish is an acoustic rock band whose fiddle player, Ben Barnes, brings a Bluegrass edge to his original music. Lizie Skow brings melody to the high hitter backwoods mix.
Deadweight was an alternative rock trio from San Francisco, California. Members included Ben Barnes (electric violin and vocals), Sam Bass (electric cello) and Paulo Baldi (drums), later joined by Baldi.
The Rilke String Quartet was formed in 1992 by four students at the San Francisco Conservatory.
